Today, we set off for Dover Castle on the English Channel - around a 45 minute train ride from Canterbury. Here we are at Dover Priory Station!

As we walked to find a taxi, I snapped a photo of gas prices. Don't forget these prices are both in pounds and liters. Translation for the equivalent of one gallon of gas would be - .979 pounds = $2.04/liter * 3.79 liters/gallon = $7.73 per gallon.

After walking a while, we realized there weren't any taxi's for some reason (we still don't know why)...

...so we walked downtown to Visitor Information, and were promptly given directions for walking UP to the castle (it will only take 35 minutes or so, she said!)

Now that was definitely a workout, but we had been used to walking 3 to 12 miles a day, so it wasn't too bad once it was over... Plus the views were amazing, here's a bay leading out to the English Channel.
