And we're on our way - the plan today Fort Myers Beach:
1) Snug Harbor for lunch (their blackened chicken salad is tops),
2) walk into town for ice cream, and,
3) walk on the beach.

Here we are on the Fort Myers Beach pier, there used to be benchs here (pre-hurricanes this summer). We noticed quite a bit of the wood railing was rebuilt on the pier. This pier was about 10 miles from the dangerous eye-wall during Hurricane Charley.

This was the biggest noticeable difference from before the hurricanes - you can see that Dockside Grill has lost some sand (3 to 5 feet) around its foundation.
